Default Stalls coming to a stop

Hello from England. I have a 2002 Chevrolet express 1500. When coming to a stop it often cuts out. I've checked the airflow sensor, cleaned the throttle body but have still not sorted the problem. I'm guessing the ECU could be plugged in but because we are in England we don't have the correct connection. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm assuming there is no check engine light or any other warning lights that might provide a clue? Otherwise, my first thought is a vacuum leak.

When you say you're "guessing the ECU is plugged in", I don't see how your engine is starting and running at all if your ECU is not connected. Can you clarify that's what you meant?
