Default Temperature indicator

hello I've a G20 81 and the temperature sensor moves like crazy. I tool a look but I'm not sure where the cable goes into the engine to check if the cable is wrong or something.
Can somebody provide some direction as I believe it should be there but I do not see any cable connected into it or any cable around.
