Temperature problem
First a little background... thermostat, coolant, and temp sensor are about 2 years old.
When I start the van and let it idle the temperature will rise almost to redline and stay there for a minute or two and then steadily decline to normal operating temperature. It does this regardless if I am moving or not. Sometimes after it has returned to the normal temp it will rise again to just below redline and then decline again. It never actually gets to the red zone of overheating.
I've heard that it could be
A) fan clutch
B) air in system
c) bad thermostat
D) Internally collapsed hose
E) failing water pump
F) inaccurate gauge
