Brand new member as of about two minutes ago! I need some help from the experts please!
I broke the multifunction switch (wipers/turn signals) arm. The arm snapped off inside the switch housing. I found a replacement but can't get the old one out and the new one in.
I can't find any information from the usual sources (YouTube, etc) so I'm here for expert advice. How the heck do you remove the broken off silver nub to replace the arm?
Good luck. Ok it's been too many years since I've been that deep into a steering column and I don't remember how the blinker arm comes out. At least you don't have a tilt column!

It's not a good sign when the first response starts with good luck!
It doesn't look broken, They just kind of snap in and out. Is there a broken piece still in the switch?
Yes. The nub was broke off in the switch. I did manage to remove the switch enough to access the back of it. Unfortunately I ruined the switch pushing the old nub out. It was more difficult to push out than I anticipated. I have ordered a new switch and now it seems the struggle will be the removal of the old wires and the insertion of the new.
I was stuck on the way the switch mounted to the base plate. Turns out the posts that looked solid was actually a pin. You could tap it out the backside and that released the switch.
