Default U-bolts front axle GMC Vandura

Hi Community,
my name is Thomas, I'm from Germany and own a 1992 GMC Vandura.
Last month I had a damage on the front axle and therefore I'm looking for this u-bolts which holds the pivot shaft of the lower control arm. Up to now I couldn't find any dealer who has this in stock. Somebody in Germany told me, they are no more available at all. That's true or has somebody an idea where i could get some.
Thx in advance and best regards from Germany
Thomas

Need a little more info as to your exact model, including engine (4WD?). But in poking around a few of them, I don't see any u-bolt. Try looking here;

I don't know if the ship over seas, but you might at least get a part number. My experience in a parts department(motorcycle, but hear me out) is that sometimes, on older equipment, the parts guy is lazy, and just assumes a part is no longer available. In an effort to not be "that guy", I had more special orders, and sold more, which is handy when paid on commission.

Hi,
thx for your fast reply.
Pls see below a pic of my 1992 Vandura with 350 cui gas engine. No 4 wheel drive. Also I have marked the u-bolts in the pdf file in a red circle.
They are possibly standard u-bolts?

Nice van.

None of the parts diagrams I can find show the parts shown in your PDF. I'd be curious as to exactly what those do. If they are there only to keep the pivot shaft(you refer to it as an "axle") from sliding, then any U-bolt that fits should work just fine.

The shaft the bolts go in is split. Even though its threaded on each end, the u bolts pinch the shaft onto the bolts at the end once the alignment is set. So it cannot come out of adjustment.
At least that is how i rememeber it.
Any u bolts will do.
You just need to make sure it fits the diametre of that shaft as close as possible....

Talking Lower control arm u bolt

I just replaced my 87 g30's upper and lower control arms from ''rockauto'' and my u bolts were streached. I was surprised to see auto zone sold them but don't remember how much $ [was cheep cost i remember]. I wouldn't use reg. U bolts , these are heavy duty. You could also try an auto/truck spring shop . Over here they custom make u bolts.
