Default Upgrade 1998 Express

I own a 1998 Express With 6,5 engine. This has been an ambulance in Norway before.

I'm looking for some Upgrades, first the front is looking very old and boring and would like to change to the passenger VAN type style after 2003.
Anyone knows if this is possible?
Wikipedia Writes: "After 2003, the Express and Savana had updated front-end sheet metal similar to the GMT800 light trucks and GMT360 SUVs, and at the same time, fitted with the LS engines. The remainder of the body was not modified."
If I understand this correct so should it not be a big problem - just to replace parts ???

I'm also thinking about to upgrade the Inventory - anyone who knows if that can be easy done?

Where can I by the best Captain seats, new outside mirrors for a better look when towing etc?

Also want new big bumpers in stainless steel and want a winch in the front bumper.

I hope I will get many answers

Thank You Very Much guys

I highly doubt that. I think there will be extensive work.

It's a huge amount of work, if you keep your 98 frame you would have to extend the front rails about 6" and add the proper attachments for the bumper and core support.. Then you have to cut off the existing inner fender structure and weld in the newer one....I'm actually doing this mod for my Duramax conversion but I'm using a newer frame as well..

Unfortunately, I can't see the pics without joining that forum. I'd do it, but 20 is my limit.

Oh, I'm sure it's free. I just already belong to 20 forums, and can't deal with another, especially one that I have no "dog to show"(in this case, diesel power).

For anyone who may do a search on this I completed the structural mods for the the 06 front clip on my 00 Express. This only addresses the body parts, you would also have to modify the front frame ends for the bumper attachment. Welds still need to be seam sealed but you get the idea..
