Post bottom end knock?

i recently rebuilt a 1998 5.7 vortec. from day one i have had a loud knock coming from the motor. i've played with the rockers and eliminated adjustment issues. the knock sounds louder under the truck and seems to be coming from the oil pan. the knock will often disappear for a few seconds then return or at the least quiet down when put into gear. it drowns out when under load but i hear it because i know its there. i removed my flex plate cover and check the plate/converter bolts and they are tight with no scars.also in dents in oil pan. when i pulled the flex plate cover i found a little more fresh oil than i wanted to see so im not sure if this is b/c of whats going on with the knock or not. any help would be greatly appreciated. attached is a video

Last time I had that it was a cracked flexplate. Worse part is you probably won't be able to see it without pulling the trans.
