Trying find out the differences in the GT4 rear end between the 2007 and 2006. Needing to put another rear end (2nd time) and there is $1000+ price difference. I have a 2007 4WD LTZ. I just didn't know if it would work or even if I could just strip the 2006 and put the gears, clutches, ect in my case and put on new bearings. My axle shafts are good, just need the spider gears, pinion and clutches (I think).

Has anyone tried this or has anyone had GT4 problems? I may not be a real fan of the synthetic lube in the rear end.
