Default 0w-20 vs 5w-20
GM specifies only 0w-20 for my 2018 Sierra. I live in a hot humid climate and wonder if a 5w -20 weight be a better choice.. GM only specifies one blend.. Anyone use a different blend for high summer heat ??

Stick with the manufacturer's recommendation. They would tell you 5-20 if it was ok to use. Especially if you are still under warranty!
