ok here we go, this is a hard one
i have an 81 malibu with a blown rearend, i have a disk brake rear out of a 91 trans-am GTP a locker with disk brakes, i have been told that the center sections are diferent and the gears i have wont work in the malibu diff, but my question is will the locker unit fit without the gears that came with them? ill buy new gears, i just dont want to buy an new locker unit. the car my locker came out of had 30k on it so its like new
on another note what will i have to do to use my disk brakes with the malibu rear? will the hubs line up properly? i want the disks for the stopping power and so that i never have the dreaded c-clip problem again (last time was a lil intense)
