OK, right now the mission is to tow it back to the garage, and times a-wastin'.
How about the old drop the driveshaft trick? Unbolt two U-joints and Git-R-Done!
Then if the parking brake still fights ya, try loosening the cable at the adjuster linkage. As
I recall, the Corvair had a center lever manual parking brake for the rear wheels?

Think VW, it has a trans axle.

I am thinking, flat bed or Tow dolley. Is the rear to the street or did they back it in and leave it (show off the face and hide the *** trick)? I am stumped, you guys took all my answers. Was leaning towards the u-joint one too till, i remembered they were rear engine...
