Think I got it now

 

do not try it unless you really want trouble's ! it's to long and to deep ,to start with .any thing can be done if you have the knoledge or enough money you can throw at it !.
my first advise is find a qualified mechnic to dioagnose the problem with the origonal engine first ,then you can make a informed decesion on what to do !

 

have had 4 different mechanics look at the truck, and all 4 have no idea what the problem is. everything is supposedly working as it should be.

 

well all I can say is that you haven't found the right mechanic you have to find out if it is electrical ,on the chassis electrical on the engine ,then you procede to the engine internal . it's a process, I have a 1985 s-10 with a 2.8 litre v-6 it was noy running when I got it ,I wanted to find out what was wrong with it before I ripped it out and changed the engine .
I got it running ,and guess what ! it had a broken connecting rod and it ran ! granted it had a miss . I found out the engine was the problem,and then I replaced it with a same engine to save trouble and money .and I could have put a 355 small block v-8 in it !I had one but it would defeat the purpouse of the truck for a dependable year roung spare driver .
