Help with 89 Suburban with 350 CID
After having a 76 with a 454, I got an 89 Suburban 4x4 with a 350. However, it has been tamperred with and I'd like some help.
1. Normally, what kind of MPG can I expect? Towing 4500 lbs?
2. I may have to be a reman TBI. Prices??
3. Has Flowmaster 3 inch exhaust. No tailpipes! Can tailpipes improve gas mileage??

I think Edmunds or Kelley Blue book give mpg for older model.
Are you saying with no tailpipes that the exhaust is coming out under the truck? That's not good. And yes, tailpipes could possibly.improve mpg

OWNED IT MYSELF...INSTALLED A FACTORY NEW CRATE 350 BY QUAL.MECH.... MILAGE BEFORE AND AFTER HOVERED AROUND 10-11 BEFORE AND 11-13 AFTER...MINE WAS A 4X4 1500 C BODY...SILVERADO THIRD SEAT REAR AIR AND PLUSH BY ALL MEANS...
EXPECT 10-12 OVERALL MILAGE...STIFF FRONT AXLE AND POSITRAK REAR...JUST BE GLAD IT IS PAID FOR!~
