Default 1970 Chevy 350 Engine

I am looking for help identifying the motor I have so I can purchase the correct parts. I cannot find an oil pan gasket for the life of me.

Block casting #3970010
Stamped # V0615CRE which correlates to a 1970 350 4 bolt main 300 hp with body types a AFX.

What’s troubling is that the oil dipstick is on the right side and GM didn’t move the dipstick to the left until the 80’s.

I have tried to match every vehicle and motor the GM produced in 1969 and 1970 and cannot find a matching oil pan gasket.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Jim

Casting number matches for a 1969 302 - Z28 Camaro.

Pictures would be helpful.

Are there any identifying marks on the oil pan at all?

What is different about the pan? As I said, pictures would be helpful - specifically if you can get one or 2 that shows the bolt locations.

GM V8 small block design & casting was nearly identical for 40 years with only minor differences where the crankshaft meets the block. Even an aftermarket oil pan shouldn’t be so different that it requires a unique gasket.

I’m trying to help but I need more information.

That oil pan is for later models. I’m not sure exactly which years, but the gasket for an 80-85 small block should work.
