Default 1990 Chev Cavalier 3.1 5 speed

The car is giving me some trouble. First it is very hard on gas, intermittent miss on the idle, no miss under load and acceleration. It has 120,00 miles. I have just had plugs, wires, o2 sensor, PCV, fuel filter, air filter, EGR, MAP installed, cleaned throtttle body and the IAC. The car drives down the highway with no miss and lots of power, this all starts when you come down to an idle and it doesn't do it everytime, but smells rich. Any comments or help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ron G

the bad economy could be a plugged cat, does it stink when pushed? it smells like rotten eggs
also, did you use di-electric grease? most spark contacts are aluminum and corrode easily, clean and apply the grease it may work

Thanks for the reply 2wd-K5. No the car does not smell like rotten eggs and yes I used di- electric when I did the wires. The weird thing is if I shut the car off to go into a store, when I restart it idles perfect for about a minute to two minutes then it start fluttering and then all of a sudden it goes into dead miss again. If I shut it off again and restart right away it runs perfect again for a couple minutes then starts acting up again, this will go on all day. Ron G

When I unhook the 02 sensor it pretty well gets rid of the miis, I went and bought a new AC 02 put it on the car the miss came back, but if I unhook it it straightens up.
