1995 SileradoZ-71 won't start
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
I tried searching other threads here but found no answer that helped. I got a 1995 Z-71 with a 350 4x4. I drove it one night and then next morning all I here is a click or two when I turn the key. I assumed battery and put it on the charger. I have both 12 volt fast and 12 volt boost. Nothing but a click. I wrongly assume started solenoid. Had to buy a new starter with solenoid. I put it in....still a click or two only. I tested at the starter to be sure voltage was making it that far. I cleaned both battery connections. I went through every fuse by the firewall. All are OK. I kicked the back left bumper....didn't help but made me feel better.

Thanks for your help Rednucleus. Sorry for not responding sooner but its deer season and I have to shoot and process a certain quota to supply us and our dogs till next season. I tried replacing it with the battery out of my other truck. Finally came to the realization that trying to connect a side battery cable to a top post battery is might near impossible. Went and got my 5105 John Deere tractor and ran jumper cables. Still no luck getting it to turn over.
Any help would be so greatly appreciated...........
MERRY CHRISTMAS

MERRY CHRISTMAS
Thank You oldchevy!! Its running! I was sure I had cleaned the terminals thoroughly. I had the terminals on the the battery nice and shiny. I had ruled out the ground terminal on the manifold due to I could get voltage from frame to positive when negative connected at the battery but couldn't when I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery.
But being at wits end I disconnected the negative on the manifold, cleaned everything all shinny and now it starts right off.
You couldn't have given me a better Christmas present. Well......you could have but it would have involved a bottle of King Louie whisky and a couple of blonds...
THANKS AGAIN AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
