Default 1998 Chevrolet 5.7L Gas

1998 Chev 5.7L Gas 3500
Starts right up, in one hour or so stops give it about 1 Hour and it will start up again. I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, Fuel pump fuse, Put in new gas. What would be your next step? On top of this when I step one the gas the gas gauge goes to empty let off the gas and it returns to amount in tank?
Thank You
Jack

Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator. I have a '97 350 and it is located under the intake of all places. Thanks, Steven

Default fuel problem

Yes, check the fuel prussure regulator. When the vehicle stops running what exactly happens does the radio stop, does the lights stop working, as far as the fuel guage goes the fuel level sensor could be the problem (the arm on the fuel sending unit). When you replaced the fuel pump did you replace the whole unit or just the pump. If you replaced the pump you had to have taken the fuel sending unit apart to get to the fuel pump.
