2003 Tahoe Remote Keyless Entry resynch problems
Okay folks, new kids here so take it easy on me...
I've replaced the battery in my key fob transmitter but I can't get the thing to resynch. I've tried holding the buttons down (lock/unlock) for a bit... did the resynch of ON/OFF/ON/OFF holding the lock/unlock buttons down (on the fob) and still nothing.
I opened her back up and checked all the connections and they look good, even checked to be sure I put the battery in the right way... nothing...
what am i doing wrong??
thanks for the help...

In order to resynchronize the transmitter with the PDM, perform the following steps:

1.
Stand within 1.5meters (5ft) from the vehicle.
2.
Simultaneously press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter for 7seconds.The door locks should cycle in order to confirm resynchronization.
That's it? It seems too simple. No ON/OFF of the ignition switch? I'm sorry to be a pain but I really DON'T want to take it to the dealership because they'll charge me an arm and a leg.
Thanks again...
Thanks again...
