2004 Impala Electrical Issue
Before I get started I must state that I am no mechanic, im also not a total retard so I know a little bit about what im doing.
Ok so here is the deal. I drive a 2004 4 door Impala with a 3.6 lt.
My driver’s side window fell off the guide and got stuck in the door. I pulled the car into the fire station that I work at, I rolled the "window" down so the mount would be in the down position shut off the car, and disconnected the battery.
I pulled the drives side door panel off. Removed the harness for the power windows, the power door locks, and power mirrors. Pulled the harnesses thru the door panel repositioned the window on the rail. Reconnected the controls, hooked the battery back up, turned the key to on, and rolled the window up. Everything worked fine at this point.
I then turned off the key, unhooked the battery, disconnected the window, mirror, and door lock controls. Reefed the wires thru the door panel, plugged the harnesses back up, reattached the door panel. This is where the problem starts.
I hooked the battery up again, and I put the key in the ignition to start the car and left it in the off position. The dome light started flashing off and on like a turn signal would. I turned the key to the start position and nothing came on the dash consol but the check engine light. When I turned the key to the off position I started to hear a clicking noise coming from the dash and the fuel hand started bumping up and down over and over again.
I unhooked the battery immediately and pulled the panel off again to check the 4 wiring harnesses that I unhooked in the door. All the wires looked good. I put the whole door back together and hooked the battery up again. As soon as I put the battery cables on it started clicking again, and the car would not start. Now every time the battery is hooked up I get a clicking from the dash and the fuel hand bounces up and down with each click. I checked all the fuses in the dash and the two fuse blocks under the hood. All the visible (see the little curly wire in the plastic) were good. I cannot start my car and afraid that if I leave the battery hooked up its going to blow up. I removed the battery cables and we pushed the car out of the fire station and rolled it back to the parking lot.
I know that all the harnesses are plugged in. I know that the only wires I touched were for the power windows, power locks, and the mirrors. I know all the fuses I can see are good. The car is in park and all that happens when the battery is hooked up is the check engine light the clicking and the fuel hand bouncing.
Please someone who knows anything about this give me some advice so I know where to start!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance

You may want to disconnect the connectors you had touched in the door and then reconnect the battery. If the problem persists, then, check the voltage on both sides of the following fuses (through the probe holes in the fuses) with the battery connected and key off:
10A CLSTR/BCM fuse in left I/P fuse block
20A DR LK fuse in the left I/P fuse block
15A PCM fuse in the underhood fuse block
Also, listen for any relays clicking in the underhood fuse block.
