Default 2005 Malibu V6 EGR tube fitment issue

I bought a 2005 Malibu V6 that leaks exhaust from the EGR tube. I removed the tube and ordered a new tube from NAPA (Part# 600-6400). When I went to install the new tube I bolted the bottom to the exhaust and when I went to connect the top of the pipe to the EGR Valve it was about an inch too short. I see on the NAPA part it has a note that says this pipe will only fit the Siemen's style EGR Valve, vehicles built before Sept. 1, 2005 must have been retrofitted according to General Motor's TSB # 06-06-04-002B(this vehicle was built in February of 2005). I cant really locate that TSB online.

I talked to the previous owner and he said he doesn't believe he ever replaced the EGR valve. So obviously this EGR valve is not a Siemen's. I don't know for sure if this vehicle was retrofitted or not. I see a part KIT online that has an EGR Valve, tube, and connectors but I'd really rather just buy a tube that would fit. Because I assume if I get a new EGR valve an tube ETC. I would have to get the PCM reflashed by Chevy? I think that's what the original TSB entailed.

Can anyone give me advice on the proper tube I could purchase that would fit? What is my best course of action here?
