2007 Chevy Colorado Code P2122
Starting last winter my truck began kicking up a P2122 error (Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch D Circuit Low Input) and go in to reduce power mode. After engine warms up I can clear the code and the truck runs fine the rest of the day. Summer time was not an issue at all. Now that the outdoor temps have dropped it has begun again. So far I have replaced the pedal position sensor (the whole pedal unit) and the battery. I also sprayed contact cleaner on the connections. The next morning the code kicked up again. Could cleaning and drying the connections at the PCM help? I know that to remove these connections the red pin is pulled out and the gray lever is lifted up. After that how does it unplug? Do you pull the connect straight off (towards the front of the truck)? Does anyone have pictures of how these come apart? Any help that can be offered will be greatly appreciated as I do not want to go through another winter with this issue. I have spent hours searching the web for information on how to fix but can not find anything. Thanks
