by hit the gas do you mean having the pedal to the floor? if thats the case you may have flooded it and it tries to start in clear flood mode

otherwise you'll have to start with the basics, fuel pressure spark and compression

Are you saying that it is hard to start or won't start at all?

probably flooded, holding the pedal down puts it in "clear flood" mode

you already did, when you hold the accelerator to the floor and crank it does automatically

if its running fine now then I wouldn't worry about it

Default Crank no start

I have a similar issue, only car was running fine 5 minutes before the no start occurred.

symptoms are crank no start, with no gauges i confirmed pressure to the fuel rail so fuel delivery is good. I have yet to test spark and air

Battery is ok so is starter and alternator.

but the 2 solenoids by the throttle body kept turning on randomly. My first guess is the idle control solenoid might be malfunctioning but i dunno if that causes a no start.

Any ideas?

just because theres fuel at the rail doesnt mean its the right pressure
