2009 Tahoe dashboard crack- GM is a joke
Hi,
Has anyone had any luck with getting GM to help repair this obvious design flaw? Like everyone else I know with similar year model suv / trucks the dashboard is cracked above the airbag. I bought my wife this overpriced "luxury" suv (2009 Tahoe LTZ) new and besides all the other issues I have had I am tired to listening to the dashboard rattle. Been kind of ignoring it for the last few years but it has gotten so bad lately. I called Chevrolet and the rep told me to bring it into dealership and pay for a certified tech to diagnose the issue. I told her that was an insult to tell me that. Chevrolet is such a joke.
Thanks

Given GM's history I doubt they will cover any repair on a 9 year old vehicle. Heck, it's even past the 8 year/80,000 miles federal emissions warranty. Yeah, it probably is a design flaw, but I wish you luck in getting GM to pay for the repair. The late 90's Dodge trucks had issues with the dashes cracking, but usually by the time they cracked they were well out of warranty. I don't know of anyone that was able to get Dodge to foot the bill.
