Starting to fail. Goes down , when switched to up a click is heard at the switch and window stops. try again , window moves about an inch , click is heard at switch(and felt by finger) window stops. This continues until window is about 1/2 up and then window goes all the way up. Is the switch failing or the motor tripping the switch ? Thanks

 

This sounds like the window is binding when more than half down. The switch asm. may have circuit protection breaker in it.

Most likely the window regulator is bad

 

Aside from window regulator, see if there's any obstruction on the mechanical gear or any loosened gear.
