The truck turns over but won't actually run. Yesterday it did it too but after a few mins it started anyone have any idea?

 

probably the check valve in the fuel pump assembly is bad. it is letting the fuel bleed back into the tank. Then when you try to start it has to prime the system before it will run.

 

Did some reading could it be the fuel pump relay module ?

 

The relay must be good since it starts after cranking for a minute or two.

 

Apparently its the ECSM or ESCM... that's above the spare tire. I would start after a few mins now it's not... When I turn it over I smell fuel like it's pumping. Under the hood I hear a click on key turn but once you leave the key on a minute the check engine light stays on. I got a warranty so it's going to the dealership tomorrow.

 

Crazy I put the pedal to the floor and it started... good bit of black smoke rolled out.
