Default 235 bore .080

I have 235 (about 1960) with cylinders that has been machined with .060 over. I am considering having cylinders machined to .080 over, but want feedback from others on whether this is a good idea. Anyone have a 235 that has .080 over and if so, have you had any problems with over heating or any other issues? Is .080 bore pushing the limit?

Another question I have is whether the 261 and 235 have basically the same block? What is the stock cylinder diameter of a 261?

man your getting pretty thin! better have the cylinder walls tested for thickness before you just bore it .why do you want to go that big ? i know year's ago they .060 -.090 over but that big and you might be asking for trouble .you might as well sleave the cylinder's back to standard .i did that on a 292 to keep from having broblems .
