I'm a newbie here but have some basic questions about my friend's 95 Lumina. The A/C has stopped and we checked the compressor with the system on. So far, the clutch won't engage so I suspect 2 possibilities:
1) the clutch is bad
2) the system is devoid of freon and a sensor has caused the compressor not to engage
I'm taking it to a shop where for $10, they will spend 20 minutes diagnosing the system. I thought it was a good deal so we'll see what the problem is.
My question is this: does anyone here know where the vacuum reservoir tank and line are located on this car? One of his complaints is that when he applies throttle, the air ducts stop. I suspect vacuum dampers are reverting to "default" so the line may be compromised. On my SLS, the reservoir is easily accessed under the fender, but where is it on a 95 Lumina LS?
