Default 350 Acceleration ISSUE!!!

I am a NEW member, but should have joined years ago. I have 2 Jaguars and 3 Rolls Royces with the 350 engines and the Rochester 4-barrel carbs. I ABSOLUTELY love the cars because if the dependability!

I do have a problem with one of them. Again, 350, 4-b Rochester. The car starts & idles perfectly, but after a few miles, the engine will begin to stumble as if it's getting out of gas. I notice this stumbling when accelerating or cruising. IF I release the pedal, it will run great at about 15 mph. I jacked up the rear and ran the car up to 70 mph (with tires off the ground) and it ran perfectly. It's only on the open road it hesitates. I replaced all the fuel filters including the one to the carb; replaced the electric fuel pump, & put fresh gas in with NO joy. The carb, spark plugs & wires have about 300 miles on them.

I'm lost as what to check next! Again, briefly, the car starts/idles perfectly, but misses and will not accelerate smoothly (as if it's getting out of gas) on the open road.

ANY help much appreciated!

Richard

Check the float drop in the carb, probably not letting enough gas in the bowl.

Another Rochester Quadajet letting the owner down. You couldn't pay me enough to own one ( Well 100 grand might work)

Getting those carbs to stay put and run properly is a real chore, as is overhauling them. The 2-BBL Rochester's are fine, but not the Quadrajet. 4-BBL.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I am also facing acceleration issue and I am really very happy I have found it in your post. I was also facing the problem in writing an essay assignment but when I was searching for the acceleration issue problem online, I have found https://writinguniverse.com/free-ess...s/coal-mining/ website link on google search in which I can read free essay examples.

check the timing on your vehicle. May run best at 12 to 15 degrees of zero
also done carbs have additional filters inside the fitting
