I have to pull 17" of vaccum @ 1000 rpm (with out vac. pump) and I can only use factory cast iron heads.

Curently I have;
383 Stroker (400 crank turned)
I beam rods
461x heads (2.02 and 1.6)
Edelbrock preformer intake
comp cam hydrolic cam 243/243 @.050 and 518/518 lift on 112 lsa
Holley 700dp
Pistons are dome top -9.5 don't know cr on them though!
373 gears (mini spool front and rear)
th350 transmition
np203 transfercase
3500 stall(but only stalls about 2200 in low range)

I found a good deal on a solid roller cam (lunati pn: 50139) 226/232 @ .050 and 502/502 lift with a 112 lsa. and Lunati pop up roller lifters. (I plan on using 1.6 roller rocker for about a 522? lift).

My current cam is only pulling about 12-13" of vac @ 1000rpm and I have to run with the big spenders. (I am hanging with them and been placing, but.......

Would this be a good change?, would I get more torque and hp? I understand about upgrading to vortec heads and performer rpm intake (has to be duel plain). But just dont have the money for it at the moment.
