i am completely rebuilding my first 454 for my tow rig(mostly stock) and all has been going well untill i set the timing chain and gears.i know that the dots on the gears are supposed to line up (oppisite eachother) at #1 tdc on the compression stroke and that the gears can only go on one way, cam gear pin at 3 o'clock and the crank gear at 2 o'clock but when i line it all up#1is sitting tdc on the intake stroke. is this right???
