Default 5.3 vortec rebuilt engine

So had an engine swap on wife tahoe , barely has 600 miles on new rebuild , changed oil , notice 3 things
1 st ) on warm up engine will automatically turn of after about 15 minutes
2nd ) at first engine stability control light popped on saying it was disengage , played with button on dash
3rd ) yesterday engine comes on , after lengthy visits to a dealer , and 3 auto parts house found a garage that run a diagnostic on it , came up"326" Knock sensor , it runs really rough at idle now and acts like it wants to quit , but as soon as running on road with no stops quiets down , also when its idling ruff engine light blinks
all this lead me back to rebuilder and had the following conversation , he is a nice guy , wants me to bring truck back to him so he can figure it out , but in this process i came to find out only new sensor under intake was Knock sensor , Crank Sensor was from my old truck , cam sensor from my old truck I was under impression from this guy i had all new sensors , or thought he should have clarified that in rebuild engines I never tried to beat the guy up on price of engine , up graded new heads and supposedly there is a new type of valve cover upgrade on vortecs that cost me another 150.00. so my dilemma is Engine is burning when it runs ruff a lot of White Smoke , which i thought means its water , But Garage than ran diagnostic said it was dumping a lot of fuel
Regardless thinking it is prudent upon me to replace all sensors under intake ,
looking for someone ideas , thoughts , observations on what right ?
Thank You for all help in advance

You got some kind of warranty I'd use it. If not small claims court. And call bueru of automotive repair if you have one

Default Update 2005 Tahoe Rebuilt engine

Been a long week , had tahoe towed back to engine builder and long story short , Replaced Coolant , Knock, Crank, Cam sensors . truck ran for about 103 miles , same symptoms all over again , took it to another shop because my engine builder only has a scanner and no Computers to reprogram or directly diagnose what issues engine is having , the next shop said that 2 injectors are stuck open and he found fan unplugged . So just asking since i am pot committed financially to 1st shop . When they swapped injectors out , and they are stuck opening dumping fuel is that builders responsibility or is it wear and tear on old engine?

well depends on what he said. if he said it would get new injectors then it should have gotten new ones. if he never implied anything you might be stuck with the old ones. on top of all of that you got 600 miles on it and theres no way to prove they were bad from the start or just 550 miles later.

since your rebuilder only has a code reader i doubt he even did the proper paperwork if any at all for the rebuild. that being said its your word vs his word then you drove it 600 miles. most times if theres an issue it has to be pick up on before you leave the parking lot or your stuck with it. here he can claim there was no issue and you got 600 miles off it so it proves he did a proper rebuild unless he said "all new parts"
