Default 5 to 6 lug

I have a 98 Chevy pickup (2wd/v6) with bad tires (15"/5lug) and rear.

I have at my disposal a wrecked 2004 astro cargo van. The van has 16" 6 lug rims and new tires.

Can I swap the rear/axle/tires from the astro to the truck? I know the the differential has the same gear ratio. Also the van axle is 2" wider so I might need to perhaps put a spacer in to reinstall the leaf springs.

I'm also wandering if I might be able to swap the front tire assemblies. Perhaps disconnect the control are nuckles.

Any advise is appreciated. Thanks in advamce

Welcome from Florida. That's a lot of work. I would just buy new tires for the truck.

This truck is worn out and my van is in a lot better shape (besides front end collision)

Also I have eight 16" tires and only two 15". Seems to me the rear might swap over even with the offset differential. Maybe No hope for the front? I got the axle and all dropped from the pick-up so I'll try the swap in the morning.
