700r4 or 2004r?
I have a 1975 Monte Carlo has a 350 small-block
elderbrock intake
quick fuel 680 hot rod carburetor
bored 30 over
stock crank
Stock rods
aluminum roller rockers
Doug herbert cam
Duration @.050 230/235
AD 285/290
Rpm range 2800-6200
Lifft 488/488
Lobe center108c
2 1/2 inch pipes-40 series flowmasters
373 posi rear end
3000 stall 350 trans..just a lil somethumg bout car.
my question is I want to change over to overdrive transmission and I want to go to either 2004r or 700R4 which would be better and would I still have to run a 3000 stall or could I come down a bit everyone said that's a bit much for the street it has 26 inch wheels on it also i dont race it but do want to drive out of town in it and and still play around just a little bit.. they say that the 2004ris it better fit far as not having to change the drive shaft or the yolk it's a more simpler hook up then the 700R4... Need help!!! My baby 1975 MONTE CARLO
