Hey guys first time posting and I need some opinions...my 74 Chevy 4x4 is having starting issues...brand new starter flywheel and battery. Every other turn of the key it turns over once maybe twice then clunk real hard/make grinding noise. I had the starter for like 4-5 months and it's never done this. Whoever had it before me put a firewall mounted cylenoid on it and that started sticking so I changed that out. It's not sticking anymore but starter is still clunking nastily any suggestions ? Thanks

 

Inspect Flywheel/starter gear, tooth broken off somewhere.
