Yes, I am leaning towards a carb problem. It is either that or coincidence. But such things happen.
It's always nice to get input, so I appreciate all of it. I can go down the list of possibilities but still miss what Murphy's law has to offer.

This morning I took apart the carb again, double checked floats, cleaned float needles and cleaned screens.
I also installed new vacuum advance, just in case.
Took her for a short spin around the field then out on the road. She is now running great!
Heading out to the highway to blow out the cobwebs.
Persistence pays off, just have to keep trying.
