97 dodge caravan black smoke

My 97 dodge caravan spits and sputters and black smoke just pours out of tail pipe black spots all over drive way can any one help

Hi gumbute,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

Do a compression test, you might have a blown head gasket. MAP sensors on those old Dodges are crap, aside from that, what kind of mileage are we talkin' here?

Check to make sure there is vac to the map sensor.
