im pretty new with chevy trucks so here i go...i bought this 97 Z71 about 3weeks ago its been sitting for 2yrs just drove maybe once a mouth the guy said.anyways the passenger side floor broad gets alittle wet when i drive around for a few hours other than that it stays dry im pretty sure its the heater core but not 100%.cause someoe told me it might need to be flushed out.what do u guys think???Thanks for any help.

if the floor is getting wet when u drive, it's definately the heater core (done way too may of those!). flushing it won't do anything 4 ya, replace it now, b4 u really need it, winters coming. it's not that difficult 2 do eithier, & when u get the old core out, clean the insde of the air box really well 2 get rid of any coolant smell that might b trapped in there.

Is there antifreeze ( coolant) inside the vehicle?? Is the antifreeze level down at the reservoir?? Then would be the heater core and likely needs replacement ... flushing won't help.

Otherwise it wasn't said if it was when the A/C was being used ... in this case could be the drain tube is blocked.
