Hi my 98 2.2 s10 starts great. But every time it rains it misfires and back fires help

 

My guess would be water is somehow getting in the ignition system somewhere causing loss of spark to the plugs.

 

Hi mike thanks found out what it was had no idea . Checked wires plugs took off coils one coil was cracked right into could see right inside thanks a million. Just saved me a lot of headakes. Once again thanks a million.

I have water entering and getting to the coils and spark plugs. It seems to be coming from the rear of the hood .We are keeping it covered now and that helps a little . How can I correct this ? It has cost me a small fortune in new coil paks.
