99 Tahoe...Starter Going Bad?
I've got a 99 Tahoe. This evening I went into a store and when I came out it would not start. All the electronics come on when I turned the key to the "on" position................but when I went to start it............it did nothing.
Tried to jump it next (to see if my battery was fried)................no luck.
Decided it might be the starter................so I had a friend head my way with some tools. I got back in just for kicks and turned the key a few times.
On the third time it started up...............but was a little weak/hesitant..............like the starter wasn't turning the flywheel very strongly.
I drove it straight home and put it on wheel wheel ramps.
I then turned it off and started it up four times in a row with no problems.
Does this sound like my starter is going out? I'm gonna yank it off tomorrow and take it to Napa for a test.
Thanks-
Mark

I would check all your battery connections to be sure they are tight and clean. Then I would have the starter and battery checked.
