I have an 84 z28 camaro with the carburated L69 305. the issues its having started yesterday. I was burning the tires at the light and took off like normal but when I slowed down it started to idle very low. when I gave it gas, the carb kinda backfired but then it ran fine again. same thing happened today so im starting to get a lil worried. could it be the timing?

 

If it blew fire out of the carburater, you could have a bent valve and/or a timing issue.
