Default ABS Issues

2002 Silverado

4.3L V6

2WD

I have noticed that when I come to a slow stop or when I turn while engaging the brake the ABS kicks on and prevents me from stopping. I reset this by taking my foot off of the brake and engaging it again. This is becoming very annoying and dangerous as I almost drove through my living room today. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem several years ago and it was the sensors. Try taking them out and cleaning them as a first step. It might help and worth a try.

Had the same problem here, cleaning the sensors fixed the thing.
