Default adding strobes & work lights

adding a headache rack with strobes & work lights to my 2016 Silverado 2500hd WT. I have gotten a upfitter switch panel and the added wires for it. Now it says these added wires are for grounding the item I want to add so where do I ground these to when adding the lite(s). Where does the switch get its power from and how to I wire the added items? I found something about a relay under the hood in electrical panel don't understand this so can someone give me precise wiring directions as I don't want to burn down my vehicle?? thanks all

Welcome from Florida. The ground wires connect to any grounded metal parts. You need to decide if you want the lights to on only with the key on or anytime! I would rather add a relay than to mess with anything in the fuse box. This is how to wire and added relay. Terminal 30 should get it's 12 volts from a source that can handle the amps required by your added lights and be fused. Terminal 87 is from the switch and should get it's 12 volts from a switched source or an all-time power on source.
