Aftermarket gauges

Aftermarket gauges
I have a 1999 GMC Safari 3500 van that I have drove since new. 250,028 miles as of today. It has been a great work horse however she is ready for retirement. Suspension is past shot. The 5.7 has about 90K on it and the 4L80E has about 110K on it. I have a beat up 80 CJ7 that I am in the process of rebuilding.
My thought is to swap the engine/transmission to the CJ. The process should be relatively painless since I have the entire van including the engine and transmission computers. I plan on putting a blank dash panel in the CJ and using aftermarket gauges for everything.
Here is the question, what is the easiest way to get gauges to work with the stock GM computer?
This is the first question I have on the conversion. There will be many more coming over the next couple of months. Thanks so much in advance for the help!!

Autometer Gauges will be able to help you with only a few questions.
My brother just got done with a similar swap and it was painless.
there is alot of aftermarket support for this application.
I have a question for you. The CJ is four wheel drive, right? Is the Van four wheel drive?

The van isn't but there is a tail shaft adapter available to allow me to bolt the 4L80E to a Dana 300. I lost first/reverse band in the tranny and it need to be rebuilt anyway so I figured I would convert it at the same time. The total length of the 5.7/4L80E should be within an inch of the stock 4.2 inline 6 and Chrysler 901 that is currently in the Jeep.

Sounds like you got it worked out. the D-300 is an excellent transfer case.
Good luck with your build and please keep us informed on your progress.
I am in the process of putting a 1992 TBI 5.7 in a 1962 Scout. I will be going w/ a turbo 400 and 203/205 doubler, and D-60 axles.
I almost have all the parts to start putting it together.
