Default All Wet!

My 99Tracker's AC has been leaking on the passenger floorboard for a couple of seasons now and don’t want my floor boards rotting out. Now, like most cars, my tracker’s condensation doesn’t leak/drain to the outside like other cars. So! Is there a plug/drain that is clogged? And making it back up into the cab?

I’ve looked at all the outside lines, and all looks normal.

Someone please help!

Thanks!<o></o

All evaporators drain to the outside of the Vehicle !

You just haven't found where that is yet...
Get it up on a Lift and look for a open ended Rubber Tube that comes out of the Firewall. Probably a short shot of compressed air will clear the clog. Unfortunately, just blowing the stoppage back into the drain pan doesn't always fix this permanently.

could be severasl things. Most likely it is your heather core leaking. are you loosing coolant slowly?
another thing to do is take of the doorpanel. Behind it should be a plastic or foam cutout sitting on the door. If that is not glued perfectly shut water from the side windows will run into the cab.
Another possibility is a small leak from the windshield. hose it down at the corners of the windscreen and see if it fills up (might take a while for the water to get through....

Default Clogged?

Great! thanks for the replies, much appreciated. I figured it had to be a clog of some type. It has to be the AC drain of some type, just didn't know where to start. I have one of them cheap repair manuals but, it doesn't show much on the AC system. I'm positive its the A.C. as it only gets wet inside when I run the A.C. if I don't run the unit it remains dry as can be. And, unlike other vehicles it doesn't leave any water on the ground when stopped... So, now I'll be looking for a drain, just don't know where as of yet.
Thanks again.

HA, well you just got to get under your ride and find it

BTW:
After you do, and blow air up into the tube...
GET OUT OF THE WAY
cause it's going to dump a LOT of water out

PS:
Don't blow a hard shot of Air up into that Tube, just moderate.
Too strong might dislodge the Tube away from the Drain Pan.
You don't want that !

Yes there is a drain. The sooner you clear it the better. As the evaporator can corrode. Not 100% on the Tracker Labor time for an evap. But, it is a fairly large job on most GMs.

Default Thanks.

Yes sir, I do need to get under there and try to find the leak. Will try this weekend, but, hopefully its on the outside as I'm too big to carefully look under the heater box...
