Default Battery light

Have battery light come on sometimes, if I let it run the car dies. Something wrong with the signal. New battery, new alternator and new connector to alt. It seems to me the alt does not get the signal to charge, but it is not all the time. Where should I look first? thanks

Welcome from Florida. Check the battery cables for looseness and corrosion at both ends. Also check your grounds.
