Default Brake pads and Rotors

Every time I need new brake pads (about every 2 years - 30, 000 mules), I also need new rotors.

Is this normal?
Should I just get new pads every year to avoid rotor damage?
This cost about $1,000 for all 4.

Thoughts?

Welcome from Florida. No it is not normal. Do you do the work yourself? If you do then $1000 is very high for parts. What are your driving conditions? Do you have sticking calipers?

That's what I thought. What happened to the days when - if you stayed on top of your break pads, you never needed to touch the routers.

Thanks for your reply.
