Default Broke off injector, fell in port

While changing out the spider injection on my 98 chevy 305 truck, I broke off one of the injectors and it fell through the port disappearing.
what do I do? Do l remove the intake now? I thought it was going to be a quick painless procedure but its turning into a nightmare.
I'm I correct in assuming it can damage the motor if not found?

I don't know that it would hurt, but I'd suggest get it out. If you can't see it, small inexspensive scope, locate it, and mechanical fingers are your friend.

yes it will damage the engine. Fish it out with a magnet.
