camaro 2013 ls
Hi, i purchased an ls camaro oct. 29th 2013 brand new, had to have the transmission replaced approx. 4k miles. problem was 1st and 2nd gear were rough, then second started popping out when shifting to and releasing the clutch, leaving me in neutral in open traffic. Now at 17,775k on odometer, the problem has started again and progressively getting worse. i have no modifications done to this car. i have an open case with gm, was curious if anybody here could assist at all. This is a huge safety concern, and to my knowledge this is a known issue with GM engineers, (but no recalls?)
are you launching the car?
I hate to be that guy, but launching the car will destroy your transmission very quickly. you don't have a race transmission and the dealership can tell by your ECU if you are pushing it hard.
are you losing transmission fluid? check your transmission fluids at operating temperature and in Neutral.

I understand where your coming from, but no I haven't launched the car. I do drive aggressively but nothing that should constitute a brand new transmission to fail. Before the Camaro I drove a 2013 Chevy cruze 6speed and drove it just as rough or worse than the Camaro, never had an issue with it at all. This Camaro has been hard to shift and drive since I purchased it, just initially thought it was me and was over excited to get a Camaro.
its a Camaro, of course you drive it aggressively.
those new transmissions shouldn't need transmission fluid replaced until 45k
but something could be burning it up.
make sure your checking the fluid at operating temperature.
does the LS Camaro have the transmission fluid temp gauge?
some of them do, this would let you know if the trans fluid is getting hot.
