Carburated to fuel injection

Carburated to fuel injection
I took a 79 carburated motor out of my blazer and replaced it with a complete, good running fuel injected 88 chevy motor out of a pick up. The computer and the fuel pump are matched to the motor. The wireing harness to make the TBI work is after market, did away with egr valve and other smog equiptment including smog pump. Some of the smog equipment is still in tact, such as map sensor, the knock sensor and temp sensor.
Now that the blazer is finaly put back together, ive started it and it will not idle correctly and dies after it warms up. My spark plugs are getting dirty very quickly and it seems like my cylindars might be filling up with fuel. The timing should be right, all the wiring seems to be right and I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why its not running correctly. Can someone PLEASE help me?

I'd suggest you check wiring connections, especially at the map sensor. That has to be correct or your fuel/air ratio will be off. Thats what it looks to me based your post.
