Default Compression test advice

I have 3 trucks i want to do compression tests on. 72 c10 with carbed 350, 91 s10 2.5 tbi and 92 c1500 350 tbi. I know how to do the test but want to be as safe as possible with disabling fuel and spark. On the 72, can i just plug the fuel line before the pump on the block? I have 2 wires going to distributor. Safe to just unplug those and crank her over?

For the tbi, i know the ICM cobtrollers fuel and spark. Do i need to just unplug it to cut fuel and spark? Thanks for any help

Yes to all, but the plugs are going to be out of it, I'd just go with that.
